Play therapy refers to a wide variety of treatment methods, all of which include some aspect of play.  Play therapy differs from ‘regular’ play in that the therapist uses play to help children address and resolve their own problems.  Since play is fun, it is easier for children to confront what is bothering them and to develop creative solutions to their problems.  Play therapy also includes parental consultation and coaching.
